Sophora toromiro

I started this Toromiro tree from seed last year. These were once endemic to Easter Island. They now only exist rarely in cultivation. So far my little tree seems to be growing well here in San Diego.

It should do well in our nice San Diego climate.

It seems fairly happy here so far, it's out in full sun and is taking the heat. I'm not sure how well it will handle our winter weather, it spent last winter in the house. Maybe I was being to cautious.

Must admit I've never heard of it, but good luck with it...love the Tiled area...
