Buddleia - Purple Emperor

I have this one Janey. The dark colour is stunning! No butterflies here either, well, a very few. One or two a day visiting my garden, only tortoiseshell and cabbage whites.

Lots more here now Karen, especially as the wild buddleias are flowering. Lots of Peacocks and Red Admirals. Going to clear the garden of the wild ones come Autumn though, they're just too much for a small space.....

Yes, they are Janey. Enough is enough with Buddlejas eh? I have quite a few now as they make such good fence disguisers, but they are quite wild looking plants. I really like the two variegated ones I have....Harlequin and Santana...they are a bit more 'refined' looking. I'm so sad that we don't have any butterflies though...after going to all this trouble to grow their dinner!
