Daylily - 'Blue Spring'

Daylily - 'Blue Spring'

The star of today's show. It really is this good looking. Only 4" across. The edge is the reverse of the eye.

I got this on eBay, from a seller in Belgium, along with Bluebird Butterfly, Which Way, Hold Your Horses, and Dancing Chevrons. I have already collected the pollen for future use :)

I have been out there looking at it several times today. I also crossed it with my Joy of Life sdlg to see if I can get this as a double.

It is different, and I was suprised that it only took 1 bid.

It can be like that on Ebay a day lily sold 4 weeks ago 1 fan went for £26.00 last week same seller sold another 1 fan same variety £4.99 all it took was two people after it on the day.
Not getting the prices like last year thats a fact I have had bargains galore this year

My fantasy.....!!!

Seed prices seem to be holding steady on the Lily Auction. I picked up 2 envelopes of seeds today. One cross is Chevron Spider X Let It Rip (both 10" spiders). One of the bonus packs is Adam Pitkin Hurd X Godzilla"s Wife, which should be very interesting.

Hi Wylie

I was just looking at my " favorites" just wondering how the crosses went with "blue spring"

Its hard to believe it was 2012 when you posted this

I looked, and nothing with Blue Spring has been started, yet. It has been hard to set seed on it, and I keep trying. The plant has been slow to increase, and I suspect it is because the seller is quick to buy and divide plants for sale, which sets them back.
