Yes, we don't have such lush green grass during the summer. It's typically nice and green during winter, if we receive enough rain.

Hope you get some of ours D, we have lots of rain to spare this summer with slugs the size of mice!

That amazing, the first signs of autumn, already! It's been so, so very HOT, here!!! (my air conditioner is working over time, all night long) We have at least two months of hot weather to go through...and sometimes November can be very hot with day-after-day of 90ºF (32ºC) plus weather! I hope this November is not going to be like 2008 with many days of around 100ºF (38º) weather!

i enjoy the autumn its full of fruit and stunning autumn colours. the apples and blackberry pies are coming thick and fast at the moment. just waiting for the elderberries to ripen so i can get some wine on the go...:-)

Love apple pie! We have a little country town in the mountains called Julian. It's famous for their apple pies. They sell apple butter, cider and all kinds of apple products.

Yes, it's San Diegans favorite place to get away from the city. We're so glad it still there...as it almost burned down in the horrible Cedar Fire firestorm of 2003 (the biggest firestorm in San Diego's history and in the state of California. Almost the half the county was on fire!).
