They are Rudbeckia, aren't they Simbad?

Thankyou Dawn, yes they are rudbeckias Moti, these are quite large flowers Dawn, haven't measured but would say they're 3-4inches across, love the colours, I swapped the seed and totally forgot about them, they'd been in my seed box for 6 or 7 years!!!! but still grew :-)

Flowers that size must be quite a sight. I agree with Homebird, you do store your seed well.

I've not forgot your seeds and geranium cuttings Dawn :-), the thalictrum seeds are taking forever to ripen, hopefully won't be long now, the golden hop you sent are doing brilliantly, romping away :-)

Thanks Kathy. I've got a note to send you a rhizome from my iris las vegas too, when its a bit bigger, I wont forget. Glad the Hop is growing, you'll love it when it gets going, they die down in winter and pop up agin in spring to about 8 feet, bomb proof.

I remember that lovely iris Dawn :-)
Yes the hops are in huge pots at the moment I'm going to plant one to grow up my arbour but the greenhouse which is next to it is in a sorry state at the moment, it needs some drastic repairs or we need a new one so no point planting if its going to be taken down, it'll just get trampled.

I had one hop in a pot for years and years, it will be fine.

Sorry your greenhouse is in need of repair, is it a wooden one? More expense, tut.

Thats good to know Dawn :-)
Yes its a wooden greenhouse 12 years old, I do have a metal frame one too, so now the gardens getting crammed full of plants trying to decide whether I really need two, although the wooden ones in a much sunnier spot earlier in the year so better for young seedlings, mmmm decisions decisions.

Lots of decisions. Shame the wooden greenhouse didnt last a bit longer. I have two, too, plus 2 coldframes, all of them always seem to be full. Bet you'll get another one - maybe Santa will be kind to you.
