Thanks Paul..I did notice early in the season, there were a lot of slugs around the base..and hiding in the new foliage..so have been vigilant ever since..no problem as they grew bigger..so maybe that's the reason ? A shame you haven't got any flowers..:o(

I like these very much and they come out dead lol - I may remove it and put a conifer in everything that dies or lacks to thrive. The winter is no longer a threat - apart from gunnera and passion flower which I will cover lots whatever dies, dies and will put conifers there :)))))))))

Oh dear,H.bird..I bet you were angry ..I would have been...
A few weeks ago,I planted some small Honesty plants in my neighbour's garden, and told her they would flower in the spring next year..so between her and the 'Gardener,'she employs..they did too much tidying up !..all gone..

Lol,I know what you mean,H.bird..I mentioned to R,only yesterday, how the Sedums were all at different stages of colour ..and he said 'are they yellow '?? ..erm,no.! Obviously doesn't know the difference from Pink..or it could be more like indifference, pretending to take an interest ! Lol.

He is allowed to cut the grass, and edge the borders..with instructions if it isn't grass in the soil...LEAVE IT !..but he is a great help round the house..much more useful there :o)
