How pretty, sadly mine gets mildew very badly.

May I suggest a remedy...it works for me.

dissolve some baking soda in a spray bottle...not enough to leave a residue just enough to change the pH of the water, so it's just a touch on the alkaline side... I still don't get metric measurement, so 1/2 to 1 tsp. of baking soda to a quart of water. give it the taste test ..if you can just taste it it's perfect. When it's humid spray the gray mildew with the solution...make sure all affected surfaces are wet. leave it to dry on the leaves. It has to be repeated if it rains...and I know you're getting your share these days. Hope this works for you as it has for me...had it on honeysuckle and the tall red monarda didyma. I find that powdery mildew is just unsightly and it doesn't do a great deal of damage because our season is short. an application of soda water helps improve the plant's appearance and most important it won't hurt, either. P.S.: just realized I didn't mention air circulation...you need that too! lol....

That sounds simple thanks, is baking soda - sodium bicarbonate? I think it is?

yes bicarbonate of soda... I've started using it in my baking along with yogurt, sour milk, or buttermilk in place of baking powder.
