Just off the top of my head...I can't say, Meanie. Will do some looking. Seems that anything that can manage to exist successfully sooner or later comes to the "invasive" label so easily applied. Having said that, this impatiens is extremely successful at colonization. It thrives in rich soil and has been a very attractive screen for the ugly old barn boards... where it strayed into the irises and astilbe in the transfer bed..I just pulled it out by the roots. It comes from seed every year and doesn't have a tenacious root system. Should not be hard to get rid of if you concertedly try to do so... let me know what you decide? :-)

...................but if it does I could put some aside for you. It needs winter protection, or a cutting striking and starting again. But it has bloomed prolifically outdoors all summer.

Oo oooo... yes please! it will have to be a greenhouse plant, perhaps? wonder what would happen if I cross pollenated it with the above? X-)

If the seeds come this season it could be grown on a small windowsill over the winter..........

Meanie: These plants selfseed...i've never taken their seed before. When the seed pod ripens they PoP! sending the seed a good distance from the mother plant. They are also a favourite of the hummingbirds and bees. If you will send me your info on the encrypted message page of GOY..or is it private message? the same? ...I'll try to get some seeds dried and off to you before autumn.

I'll do a blog (with photos) when I get a few minutes this week about how I collect the seeds from Impatiens Lori................
