Astilbes

They are great plants and flower for a long time, like the different colours planted together;0)

Those three pots were moved today, Pp ... and I was disgusted to find each pot had a snail lurking in between the pot feet ... no wonder a nearby Hosta is in shreds! ... :o(((

Sheila, I think these were a pack of three Astilbes from Wilkos ... pleased they've done so well in pots ... :o)

Motty, I've just looked at images of A.'Fanal' and cannot decide if it's dark pink or scarlet red as the images are all showing such different colours!

'Fanal' is a dark red,Shirley..lovely Astilbe and the flowers last for ages..I leave all mine on for the winter,when they
have turned brown....I love all yours..the new one I bought last year,isn't in full flower yet..so it's much later than your Astilbes..

Love them they have done so well this year.....

Bloomer, the area those pots are in doesn't get much sun really ... just late afternoon/evening ... obviously suits them there ... :o)

Noticed your Hollyhock too Shirley looks a similar colour to mine which is now seven and a half feet tall and the flowers starting to open ;0)

That's been there for a couple of years, Carole, sadly the leaves are a favourite of the slugs and snails ... hardly any Bees on them this year ... I hope they buzz over to your flowers ... :o)
