Ah yes looks like a rabbit playing tug of war with a crocodile (many hours of misspent youth seeing similar animals in clouds :-)

So there is! I hadn't noticed that! Sharp eyes you two! :o) We generally get temps of 34/35/36 in August, but this is above and beyond anything we want!!!! Glad it's cooled down now!

Thank goodness! As I've aged I find the heat absolutely defeats me...just want to sit and perspire...and I have so much work to do! An hour's work will leave me dehydrated. :-(

Me too! I beat a constant path to the large water bottle, but still end up in pools of sweat! We have three electric fans of varying sizes dotted around the casa and we can often be found languishing in front of one of them at any time of day just to find some moving breathable air! The annoying thing is - I know full well that in a month or two's time I shall be saying "I'm cold!"

LOL...you have the right of it there, Nariz! It's the same here...That's the main reason we have resisted the current trend to install an airconditioning unit on our furnace. For the few weeks of summer heat it doesn't make sense. So we do our best with fans, as you do, and put extra effort into "winterizing" ..as our winters seem to last forever.

Yes - I remember! We had an RV holiday near Banff some years ago at the very end of April into May and, by the end of two weeks, I was desperate to see a flower in bloom - just one!

Mercy! are you getting the heat we had, or is this normal August temps for you? We're finally experiencing some much needed rain over here...
Beautiful plant...I'm sure you will have some lovely deep red leaves this autumn. A little shadow play in the lower right corner! ;-)
