Nicotiana and fern

I like the flowers! The fern looks like the common sword fern (Nephrolepis exaltata) which naturalizes in many shady areas of San Diego.

This fern believe it or not grows in full sun. I have one in the garden but it's taking for ever to take off.

Yes, the sword fern here grows in full sun, also. However, it looks much better in shade and tends to naturalize in shade or semi-shade.

I'm planting one near my bottle brush tree tomorrow. Need to fill a corner.

They're good as a filler plant.

Planted two in the garden yesterday evening. Thinking about adding a few more.....
