I like this one. The curled back third makes it special.

I'm hopeless with daylilies but found a clump of the lemon yellow ones...and the specie orange ones are in a row along the south side of our house. The above looks like it's close to the specie...

Oooo don't get me started on the daylilies Lori ;-), bit of an obsession of mine, lol, it does look a similar colour to the species one in this picture doesn't it,the colour is more peach/pink in real life, quite a sunny day so quite hard to capture the true colour, the flowers on this are 8inch across so quite a large one :-)

Wow...that's huge. Caught a glimpse of your "obsession" in another pic of yours...and like you, I like large scale plants. You must have a lot of room to garden...I have lots of room but most of it is in a wild state at present. If I had more energy I could make better progress but I'm content to just poke along at my own pace. If I live another decade, I may see some progress!

Not my biggest Lori I have one thats 15inch across!!!! the bigger the better, yes I have 173 named varieties no I tell a lie 174 I just bought another new one, ooops :-), also grew some from seed this year sent to me by the British Hosta and Hemerocallis Society, they receive seed from the US and distribute it among their members some lovely crosses and even the ones from the same crosses will all be different, got over 150 plants so looking forward to seeing them flower.
We have 3rd of an acre garden and one and a half allotments at the bottom of the garden too, not as big as yours but keeps me busy :-), look forward to seeing how yours developes, pity you don't live nearer we could soon fill yours with daylilies :-)

Today I noticed that the two seed pods which I had been nursing along (lemon yellow daylily) are open...Looks like I lost some seed but I now have seed from the lemon yellow ...if you would like them I'll put them in a letter. I think there is a pic of the Lemon Lily...on my page somewhere.
