Lol.....I'm glad you bought them all ;o)))))
I went to my local nursery just now.....I didn't buy anything. ;o(

Oh...why not, Alex?
Sorry, that's a daft question, as I already know the answer...
Hydrangeas are the only enticing things on sale here (apart from marsh hibiscus - which, I think, would not be easy for you as they need SO much water, and are only on sale here because they flower late...)
Parched August...the local nurseries have already moved on to next year...
...and, I have to admit, I kind of feel the same at this time of year... x

We should all know by now how dangerously you like to live! They look rather splendid. Do we get before and after pictures, or is it too late?

Ha ha ha I love that kind of decision making

Karen,
There wasn't anything I didn't have there today. Can you believe that!?!?!?!?!
No Marsh Hibiscus,,,,,I would have bough them. I had one last year....gorgeous and then one day it just dried up and died. I was shocked.
My little boy did buy a Gardenia plant with his money....but that's his plant. (I think he bought it because it's my favorite flower)

Well of COURSE you buy them all, Karen! How lovely - your border will look beautiful! I would have bought them too. (No, I wouldn't, actually, but only because I haven't got the space!) A marsh hibiscus might fit the bill, actually. It is pouring and thundering here right now. I'm off to Buxton tomorrow - one of the rainiest places in England. Oh well ....

You have a serious Hydrangea problem,Karen ! you need to try and wean yourself off them now,and look for something less addictive ! Lol....I thought you were joking ,till I looked through your pics..apparently not ! Lol...wow ,you must have a big area to fill..one of these would fill a border for me..if I could grow them ....

Lol! Karen, I think we may have lots in common...
I've no patience, anymore...and I'm not so young these days that I can wait for years to see how it develops...
I've only had this garden for two years...and I want it to look like I've had it for ten!!!
(Not that I'm saying that's you! honest!)
But, now that it's Autumn, when there are no new plants for sale...I'm looking at sculptures...lighting...lol!
So! If it's within my budget...and sometimes not! It's a done deed!! (Similarities there, perhaps???)
Anyway, the way Nigel goes around the supermarket, he wouldn't have a clue how much is being diverted from food to other things...so...budget? What budget? lol!
