Thanks Jacque. For years I did nothing with this side plot- it was just grass, which was stupid as its south facing and gets sun all day. Added to that the gable wall of the house gives heat back off at night so plants thrive here.

Can you sit in the Conservatory and admire your handiwork? (When the weather is bad, I mean!)

Yes I can Spritz- which is often! When the sun does shine the conservatory gets sahara hot at this time of year.
