Bamboo and crystals

Lulu if the Bamboo is the same as mine be prepared for some Spectacular growth. Mine has green stripes in the stems And with all the rain this year new spikes are about 20 feet high.

Yikes! Bjs, don't mind the height though just the possible spreading!

They are tough to cut aren't they, as I found out with a couple of small dead bamboos. Any larger then a saw maybe necessary!
Which bamboo has your daughter got HB?

On a visit to Wisely some years ago I saw them mowing the new shoots around a large clump,thats what I do now and the grass continues to grow around it.They come up the following year and I do the same again,Certainly would not put them in a border,i tried the black one in a container set down in and it escaped in no time at all

I think mowing will be the name of the game Brian!
