This is the white variety of lion's tail. Photo taken Aug. 21, 2012 in the medicinal garden in Balboa Park, San Diego, CA.

I have seen others...it grows to around 10ft/3m tall.
I think this plant is young. This is the first year I've noticed it. Most likely it was planted this year.

Yes, it's such nice shrub...flowering well all year (which is good for the hummingbirds in winter).
