Chicory.

In herbal medicine it is used for stimulation of digestion. Many years ago, chicory was used also for preparation of coffee, either when there was lack of normal coffee or prescribed as medicine to patients with chronic liver diseases.

Hi, HB, I think this sort of coffees are still available in shops oriented on healthy foods/lifestyle/bio-shops.
