Vibrant flower with birdbath display in Milan .... Michigan America, not Italy!

Whilst visiting with my family in America, we had a three day stay in a lovely city called Ann Arbour in Michigan. A huge annual art fair was being held, so we had to stay in a hotel 30 mins out of the city, in a small town called Milan. I spotted this lovely flower display in front of a lawyer's office when we went for an early morning walk. Would look lovely in any private garden, I think.

Those petunias were such a beautiful purple colour & so profuse. I might very well attempt to do something similar in my own garden.

Ann Arbour is such a beautiful place. Did you know it has one of the best law schools in the US? I have a suggestion for your new garden...Get the soil in good shape first. It is so hard to do this after planting. I think it is such fun to be starting with a clean slate, so to speak. Get your big items arranged first on paper and then go forward with the smaller stuff.
