I saw 2 of these yesterday. The only ones this year, so it was a nice surprise.

A Small Tortoiseshell - they've really suffered a decline in recent years and this awful Spring and Summer won't have helped. Love the 'Flash Gordon' like shadow! ;-))

Me too Hywel. Thanks Paul. Seen only two too Bloomer, got the camera this time. Photo in the side yard on the fence, not even on a flower. :o) But still... I haven't even seen a cabbage white Clarice.

I guess so,Muddy..broken arm twice..a leg, a toe, hand,numerous sprains..and a dislocated thumb falling off the top of a Haystack ! Lol....just a very clumsy kid....teenager...'mature' lady ....but you have to smile ! :o))
