Tricyrtis ishiana

This is a Toad Lily with a difference - in addition to the pendulous bell shaped blooms it also has an arching (instead of upright) growth habit.
Has a reputation for being a bit tricky, but given enough shade and moisture it seems easy enough............

No - it's herbacious. It would make a cracking vine if nature were ever inclined that way!

thanks - will check that in the evening:) will try to take pics of mine - errr - they grow in pots, forgot to protect them last winter - and you can imagine how happy I was to discover they survived, lol. plenty of buds - waiting impatiently for them to open:):):)

Winter is always hit and miss with 'em Kasy. I've lost supposedly hardy ones whilst the more tender ones survived...........
