Chuffed to bits with this as it has a reputation for being a little fussy.

o wow! fantastic! I wonder why they are not so popular in garden centres...

That's what they say Sticki.
I'll post a photo of the spot where it is in a while.............
Probably 'cos they're a little fussy Kasy. People may want to buy them, but a lot of large GC's don't want the hassle of the care.

oh, thanks for that, its certainly a perfect plant, love the flower, trouble is i have dry shade, some things dont seem to mind though!!!

Tip - when you get it, pot it on into a larger placcy pot and then sink the pot in the ground. That way it'll retain moisture better.

oh thats a very good idea, thank you!
there is a rare plants fair coming up soon near here, i wonder if they will have one?
perhaps i should start a list??

CGF is not that far from you is it?
27 Aug, 2012
no! not far at all ~ 30 - 40 mins??? but i see they are attending the plant fair at bodenham which is nearer;
there is another rare plant fair at spetchley park in about 3 weeks time too, about half an hour journey??
can you visit CGF ??

Give them a call and ask if they can bring one along for you. Bear in mind though that it's almost winter.
I visit them a couple of times a year - about an hour away for me.

yes, thats the trouble, not so good weather ahead.
the autumn fair is a recent addition, i wonder if it will be successful ~ unless people have greenhouses and sheds for overwintering?
27 Aug, 2012
Maybe there'll be some choice spring bulbs available..........
27 Aug, 2012
thats a thought, its worth a visit anyway i think

Thats a little gem M, how long has it been in?
27 Aug, 2012
Since May PA. Should be able to split it next year and risk over wintering one outdoors.
