It's a good spot for a few things. The Tricyrtis lasiocarpa ( http://bit.ly/NrpIe2 ) seeds that Pims sent me are in a bag under here germinating very well.

does your garden have a wall ~ therefore well protected?

This spot is well protected - wall all around the garden, plus the huge conifer in the top left of the photo. Quite a large one to the right too. The garden is a couple of metres lower than the land behind too. This photo is looking north northeast.

This will still be removed in its pot for this winter and put in the shed though.

Good for the borderline hardy ones, especially if they can take some shade.
