Thanks guys!

Moti/PA - I reckon that this is the most picky of the lot as far as weather goes. It loves dry and hot summers.

Oh Meanie...that's too bad! My mom grew these from seed every year...and they were so prolific. It's a very old variety but it can't be beat as far as I'm concerned. Planted Moonflowers this spring and the germination was eratic, the seedling cotyledons were huge...Put them under a trellis and they barely have a start, even at the end of August. I have hope. But our nights are consistently in the single digits now...so it's all downhill from here. If I get ONE flower, I might just throw a party! lol....

Heavenly Blue it is........Meanie had our first flower on our Tibouchina!! and guess what? it dropped all it's petals before I managed to get a photo, was so cross, have decided to take the top out, it is getting very sprawly, not sure if I should have, still, too late now lol two more flowers are about to open, thanks goodness! and I shall be there with the camera this time.

It's a real downer Lori! Must admit though that they've never been prolific for me................

DD - great result, but shame about the photo opportunity! Deffo take the top out to encourage it to fill out a bit.

I plan to start them very early next spring...and depending on how the moonflowers go..I may try a mixture of the heavenly blue and moonflowers.
