Unfortunately, this African Tulip tree was mostly in shade. It was spectacular...I had to get a photo. Take on Labor Day (Sept. 3, 2012) in Carlsbad, CA (Northern San Diego County).

Thanks! I've posted many African Tulip trees blooming recently. Many bloom in summer and fall; although, some trees can bloom any month of the year.
My little African Tulip tree blooms from: May - Feb.

Yes, it does. Very large tree, if well cared for will bloom a very long time, also.
