I love it. Mine is so tiny. I hope the season here is long enough to see these beauties. I might just have a purple bush most years. :-)

The leaves are beautiful in there own right the flowers a bonus . Do you have it in the open ground ,thinking a bit of winter cover might get it going a bit earlier in the season.

I mulch in winter and things do wake up early. But that is mid to end of may and we are already end of autumn right now. Blooming season might be too short for this plant here, but I'm up on the hill now, warmer than the last garden. We'll see.

They should produce seed again this year but are quite slow flowering in the third year from sowing.
Will try and save some if anyone fancies the wait
