This is indoor exibition with a large opening to outside for observation and picture taking ...I guess. They probably close it at night. Unfortunately these orchids will not survive outside in our climate.

It's very beautiful! I reminds me of the Botanical Building in Balboa Park, which is a huge lath-house. Hundreds of orchid species grow in there all year.

Yes, it's in the middle of Balboa Park (the jewel of San Diego). The park has many interesting tropical/subtropical trees which were planted by the late, famous horticulturist, Kate Sessions. Many of the large trees are over 100 years old, like the very famous Ficus macrophylla (Moreton Bay Fig, which is one of the largest in the state).
