My Sun-burned Plumeria rubra 'Tricolor'

My Sun-burned Plumeria rubra 'Tricolor' (My Sun-burned Plumeria rubra 'Tricolor')

This is what happens when you have 106ºF (41ºC) temps. We've been having a heatwave for 7 weeks, now. Last Friday and Saturday was the worst. Friday in my neighborhood we had 9 hours (from 11am - 8pm) of 100ºF (38ºC) and higher temps straight. Saturday was almost as bad! It caused a lot of damage to many of my plants. Most will recover; however some will not! :>( Photo taken Sept. 16, 2012

Toasty, the worse part for the plants was the complete lack of humidity this time. I've got a lot of dried and fried leaves here too.

Randy,

Yes, the humidity was down to about 8% and I don't remember the temperature ever being above 100ºF for more than 8 or 9 hours (although, I'm, sure it's happened before). It's crazy!!!

I see so many sun-burned plants in our neighborhood.
Your Foxtail palm is looking great, though! I think it loves the heat of this summer.

Milky:

It's growing a lot of new leaves, now. It's still flowering like crazy because of the very hot weather. This summer has been super hot...almost as hot as summer of 2006.
