Hi Karen, We have lived in quite a few places, and except for France, this is the Best. Quiet and very peaceful. I must go to Farmington in two weeks which means the gardens have to be cleaned up and somewhat labeled. We have not had the dreaded Frost yet. After that don't mind the clean-up. I was telling somebody about all of you in England. Now I consider myself a very active, for 78, but you guys have such gardens and collections of other plants. I am a bit envious that I don't have some fascinating collection inside for the winter.
I am an artist and during the winter months, that is what I do. We don't have much sun in the Farmington house, so Geraniums will just about do their thing. This is too long for a comment...I think there might be one more week of the gardens, and the trees should hit some peaks. Will post pictures. And Karen, your garden is as neat as a pin. I want some of your clematis etc. but will have to be happy buying and hoping they will survive, but better yet. flower!

Yes indeed! Wells, I can picture you with your paints etc. I hope to get some more painting done this winter too. I paint under my sunlight lamp, it gives me brilliant indoor light. Thanks for your comments re. my garden. I wonder what it will look like after these latest gales have gone over it!? Dread to think. Will have to try to get out and bring herbs in tomorrow if I can.

So peaceful looking. A great place for meditation on life, the world and everything Wells. I don't think I would ever move from your garden if I lived there!
