Driad: Most of my daylilies are from seed (about 75%). Only 3 more months before I start the next group; mostly spiders, doubles, and patterns.

Are they saved seed , or do you have to buy them ?
Do they take alot of nurturing , Wylie ?

I have both saved and bought seed. They need to dry for 24 hours, then into the refrigerator for a minimum of 3 weeks. Then put them into a small plastic bag filled with water for another 3 weeks in the refrigerator. Finally sow in dirt, just covering, and cover with cling film. Put in a warm 50-55F place, and they should sprout. It sounds like a lot, but it is really easy. It also takes about 3 years in the UK to get the first flower.
