Absolute gem ain't it!

Huge differences in orchids that's what amazes me, some grow as little wild flowers even here and then these exotic types but all orchids!

I believe that it is the largest genus.................

so how tall does this one grow?

This is only about half a metre.

the little ones i found in the outer hebrides [growing wild] were about 3 inches tall ~ still very beautiful

yes one or two, i put a couple in the blog but i dont think i put them on individually

i would love to have spent hours taking photos of them but at the time i remembering being dived at by lapwings!!
