One of two flowering stems on this lovely gift from Karensusan. She had grown it from a cutting and it arrived with me approx. one year ago.

There are a few Cmsue. There is globosa which flowers earlier in the year and there is weyeranii which is a parent of this one. It flowers August onwards. All are this shape. I prefer them to the cones which get quite ugly when they are past their best. The butterflies love them all.
