Hi Dwyllis, thank you for the nice comment. I have heard that green mophead hydrangea is used in bridal bouquets in the west :) I make bouquets from them, too, but for the whole winter. Yes, they are great flowers and I like them very much. I have collection of ten species now. I do not know if you ever heard, that certain serrata forms have long been popular to create a sweet herbal tea :))

I have seen dried hydrangeas sprayed gold to be used in arrangements.

That's gorgeous Katarina. Hydrangeas are wonderful. I have three at the front of my house which change colour as the weeks go by ...the pale pink goes to a cream mixed with pink then deepens to an amazing deep crimson. The pale blue ones end up the crimson colour too. Hydrangeas have been very overlooked in the garden here in NZ until recently. Now they have suddenly become popular again. There is a lovely green mophead hydrangea too. I love the pretty pastel shades of your one.
