My Maradol papayas are growing very well. They should ripen some time early next year...maybe in January, depending on the weather. Photo taken Oct. 24, 2012.

Thanks! :>)
I hope no one picks the fruits before I can get them! This plant is located very close to the sidewalk...and people have picked the fruit in the past.

Sandra:
I was originally pretty upset...then I just said: I hope the person enjoyed the fruit.
About a month or so ago some broke two fruits off this plant...that really go me upset!

The different varieties have different flavors. Some are very sweet like candy and very juicy. There's some varieties which have peach or strawberry overtones.
Papaya is an extremely nutritious fruit. It's very good for ones digestion. In fact, many digestive aids have papaya extract or enzymes.

Yes, it is. It's also considered a pretty high-maintenance plant; but well worth it! :>)
