Klahanie, the registered daylilies I've bought through the years are only 37. I am trying to obtain a better gene pool to use in hybridizing, most of the daylilies I am using to pollinate , were registered in the seventies or eighties. Every December I am buying some new ones. The seedlings I got thus far that have already bloomed for me, are 84. I will be happy to have so many beautiful registered ones as Simbad and Wylie!

They are beautiful. I cannot grow them because we have too many deers around and they like them. They eat only the flower not leaves. I have bunch of yellow ones but do not see many flowers.

How many times did I complain about no wildlife to be seen here in Welkom. When I want to see any deer, I have to drive 2 hours to another city to see one in the zoo. I should stop moaning! I only have a Jack Russell who runs after the birds and breaking off buds as far as she goes. And a very naughty cat.

Ahhh, animals ....what we would do without them :-)
