I do too Petaltracey. Although,I do have to rake these because they are very large (from a "big leaf maple") and they prevent the moisture to get in the roots of the plants. They sort of plaster on the ground layer over layer and will not start to decay until next year.

I can sympathise with you only too well Klahanie - We have Oaks and Beech tree's in our front and in the back there's Ash and Silver Birch - So plenty of exercise for me too! The Ash are the worse as they take ages to fall, but I wouldn't be without any of them as I love the Autumnal colours and how the leaves fall like confetti!

Petaltracey, we did a big clean up yesterday , and today it looks like we did nothing. The leaves are still falling.
Lucky, we do not mind raking, right????

Don't they look wonderful? I just love the shape of a Maple leaf and the colours are just magnificent too!
