Thanks! Yes, it is. Although, the weather has cooled down a lot from the ending of last week when it was over 90ºF (33ºC) for several days.

Yes, Poor New York! The whole eastern seaboard has been hit so hard with Superstorm-Hurricane Sandy, then with the strong Nor'easter Athena. When will it end?! :>(

I have a friend in Maryland ... she was far enough inland to dodge most of the damage from Hurricane Sandy... but I feel sorry for others .. the UK television has shown the destruction in areas such as NY and NJ.

Yes, the news cameras have concentrated on the major populated areas. However, there's so many areas that were affected by the two storms.

Yes... in such disasters the media does tend to focus on the cities ...

Yes, the media does focus on the very populated areas.
What's pretty funny is that the National Weather Service is naming all the big storms now. Winter Storm Brutus is hitting many of the western states, right now.

Nice one. I cannot even grow them inside to any substantial size.

Here's the list of names for the 2012-2013 winter season. This is the first year large extra-tropical storms are being named.
