This is something like small canyon, on the bottom there is river. It was a place of the strongest fights between Germans and partisans. One group of French partisans was very active here and they have even memorial here, a large one. I was passing it, as along the river there is a highway. It was a beautiful view, you are right. Unfortunately, there is mist all the time these days, so the photo is not so clear.

The mist adds to the atmosphere of the picture :o)

It certainly is atmospheric, and you can see why it would be a place for partisans.
