"Oh dear , did I hear a big groan then"
Not really - I just give away the ones that are patently unhappy, resite the ones that are struggling and get more of the ones that are happy!

Where do you keep all these special plants Meanie......

Does it typically bloom during winter?

This one is sat in a south facing bay window DD. It's shaded from direct sunlight.
All of my Aeschynanthus are in bloom at the moment Delonix.

The Aeschynanthus all must look spectacular!
How's your Alsobia doing? The seeds you sent me never grew. I've been waiting for 5 months, and nothing. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Did you have any luck germinating them?

It's one of the plants that has been unhappy since the move.
I gave up on the seeds too, but recently the ones that fell into the orchids that were underneath have germinated. They dislike root disturbance though, and all died. So I've left a couple in the pots with the orchids.

M,I have an Alsorbia thats is really struggling I've had it 8 months it has never looked happy, any suggestions?

Alsobia dianthiflora? Mine has been unhappy since the move, but did well in the conservatory at my old house. At Oxfords botanic gardens they are grown in the Lily House, so heat and humidity, plus strong filtered light seems to be the key PA.

Meanie:
I'm glad it wasn't me! I don't know much about Alsobia dianthiflora and its cultural requirements. I guess I'll have to talk to Michael Kartuz (from Kartuz Greenhouses), he sells this plant. I'm sure he know all about its cultural requirements. I may purchase one from him in the future.
Here's his varieties:

Meanie:
I want Alsobia dianthiflora for under my lath shade-structure in the front yard. I'll let you know if I get one and how well it grows outside here.
