Gave me quite a shock when I drove around a corner to be met by a small river.
My heart goes out to all those who are flooded at this time.

I could drive through..just!! We went out last night and found that where the lane meets the road the water was almost too deep. I reckon if it took on another couple of inches then we would need a boat!

Quad bike fares better than cars as the engines are higher.
The rain is becoming a little heavier now. D has to go fetch a horse today. Luckily there is another way down to us but if this weather carried the bottom gates area floods too!!!

the trouble is the ground is now completely soaked so there is no where for it to run to. they better not do hose pipe bans next summer!
