On the left(between pathway and veggie beds) I planted dwarf mondo grass and lithodora(for prettiness). the little bush on the right is lavender.

Thanks, Lulu. I still need to add plant additional herbs and veggies, i.e. bay leaf tree, spearmint, garlic chives. Some shrubs along the boundary wall.

Sounds lovely! and looks so........DRY! lol :) No, seriously, you've done well to get any gardening done lately...I've been rained off for several days (although I was AWOL over the weekend in Edinburgh, which was fab!) now and am starting to get withdrawl symptoms!

lol...sorry Sixpence, I was getting you mixed up with our other sixpence! I didn't realise you were in SA! ;)

Lol....Karensusan, not to worry about the mishap. It's been raining for approximately 5weeks in our city, i.e. Durban. On Sunday it was freezing, Monday it was extremely hot and today it's pouring buckets. I am not complaining about the rain as it saves me turning the tap on and my new garden will have sufficient water to quench it's thirst.
