In the parking lot at the hotel we stayed in, I noticed this pretty bush in the middle of the concrete against the coke machine. Looked happy .It is a common plant but I cannot remember its name.

We got couple of unexpected adventures Terra but generally it went well. We are presently in Palm Springs California and it is pleasantly warm here. Will stay here for another 7 days before we continue for Arizona.
Thanks for your note.

That's the dreaded common trailing Lantana montevidensis. lol It blooms all year here in San Diego. I'm sure it blooms all year in Palm Springs, also.
You're experiencing perfect Palms Springs weather. I see the high temps have been from: 80 - 87ºF (27 - 31ºC) in the last week (so much cooler than in summer!).

Thank you Delonix1, We use the plant up north in hanging baskets and the name completely escaped me.
Why is it dreaded? Is it invasive in San Diego?

Yes, Lantana can be invasive. I pull it out of my potted plants and yard all the time. If it stays in the ground too long it's difficult to dig out.
