I used to hate roses for some reason
But now I know they like clay so I planted several climbing roses this year and they have taken off, really grown so really like the clay. These buds are 30th Nov, doubt they will flower now!
I think I have planted: Golden Showers, Zephirine D, A Shropshire Lad and Tess of the D.

Hi Aleyna, here is info on plants for clay: http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/homemaker/interiors/tm_headline=alan-titchmarsh-offers-advice-on-all-weather-plants%26method=full%26objectid=26769667%26siteid=50081-name_page.html#story_continue
I love the Alan Titchmarsh gardening books as they help someone new to gardening like me! No blooms yet unfortunately although the buds are still pretty - the snow is here now so they will be feeling the chill!
