It is the same here Delonix, the bouganvilleas grow in several, including, wild places. Always looking for high structures to its branches. People use to build structures like umbrelas where the bouganvilleas can grow. I'll try a picture next season. There is one on my way to college.

Don't they bloom all year there? They are in bloom all year here in San Diego.

I only see bouganvilleas during summer here. I'll pay attention if it would bloom now

I would think they bloom all year, like here in San Diego.

I saw some in my way to the college. The red ones, but not as luscious as during the spring or summer.

That's so strange, because Bougainvillea is native to Brazil.
In San Diego they bloom heavily all year! It could be because we're so dry all year. I know you receive a lot more rain than we do.

I'm on the southernmost part of the country, we have rain, frost, diferently from the north. But from now and on I'll observe it :)

I've read about your average temps. It's very similar to San Diego (you're warmer though); however, your record lows are much lower than the urban areas here in San Diego. We don't get frost in the urban area (or it's extremely rare, and typically in canyon areas). Also, it appears Porto Alegre has had temps close to freezing temps as recent as June of 2012. Downtown San Diego hasn't had a freezing temperature recorded in more than 50 years (and some areas have never recorded a freezing temp).

That looks fantastic! I see Bougainvillea growing up trees here all the time...they especially look good growing up very tall palms.
