I have no idea what kind of plant is this. The city hall employees planted this trees there to replace 2 old chinaberry trees. Photo taken on Mauricio Cardoso Street, 05/12/2012.

Somebody I.D'd this for me when I saw it in the Canaries. Isn't it absolutely stunning? I think so! I'll see if I can find the name for you....

This is Caesalpinia pulcherrima - Dwarf Poinciana or Pride of Barbados. It's very commonly grown here in San Diego. I just don't like the little thorns on the branches.

Yes, and it is very similar to Delonix flowers...but I've never seen such an young tree blooming, thas why I don't think it could be a Delonix Regia.
