I don't think so....or....I haven't noticed it.

It most likely grows very well there, outdoors. It's super hardy.

It used to be very widely distributed through San Marcos Growers up in Santa Barbara.

The common jade plant (Crassula obovata) grows wild here, also. They're all blooming now. I see the wild ones blooming along the freeways.
