They're a common sight here, Klahanie. We really are very lucky to be able to see them, but I have to say the noise they make can be annoying at times.

Oh yes please, rain would be absolutely appreciated! Marguerite, the dry season has now dragged on for over 9 months and we need to see some grey clouds in the sky. Brownsville is really living up to its name right now.

It's a very beautiful bird! I bet they're noisy, though.

Very, very noisy, Andy! Sometimes we wish they would just move on!!

Then learn them to speak human language. They would be very intelligent companions! :)) More then some people do.
I wish to have them in my garden.

We get large flocks of them here. They live in amongst the foothills and when they're heading home to roost in the evenings they make a terrible din.

:)) Do they come to the garden for the water or some fruits?

They come to my place to feast on the buds and fruit of the various Eucalypt and Corymbia trees. I don't put out water or food for them.

Ah, that can be nice scene....Like in Paradise. :)

Yes, I know what you mean. We have feral parrots here. They have created major noise problems in some communities.
