Hi Delonix, yes this Cassia is in my yard and blooms magnificently every summer. Mid-summer is when it really looks its best ... and yes it's definitely mid-summer here, thank goodness. I'm really rather pleased that we're halfway through the torture now!

It's such a beautiful tree! I wish more were grown here!

Does Cassia leptophylla grow there? It's one of the most popular Cassia trees around. The flowers are very sweetly fragrant.

It's not mid-summer yet. The first day of winter here was Dec. 21st that means it's just the beginning of summer there. lol! :>)
That's a gorgeous, gorgeous Cassia fistula. I posted a beautiful pic of one here in San Diego flowering about 3 1/2 months ago. Unfortunately, it's not too widely grown here. The one everyone loves is Cassia leptophylla...it's grown by the millions. It's widely used as a street tree, also.
