Kigelia africana - Sausage Tree and Pods

I still need to take the photos of my small sausage trees. Although, I'm going to post more pics of this sausage tree for you. :>)

So that's a sausage tree! Very fat sausages,pity they are'nt edible. Does any animal eat them?

Yes, that's a sausage tree. There probably 50 trees at the San Diego Zoo. The pods are used medicinally.

I'm sure there's animals in tropical Africa that eat sausage-like pods.
