We are now in Mexico Floralhead2. Until April when we will be returning to Vancouver Island.

One of my nephews lives in Sooke. He is a chef & runs a place called the 'Smokin' Tuna Cafe'. It's a very nice place but I haven't made the trip to see him yet.

Sooke is a beautiful area in the summer but wet and grey in the winter. That is why we move down south every winter. We live north of Victoria and I do not know the restaurant "scene" in Sooke. I like the name of his cafe :-)

You should visit if you get a chance Klahanie :) He grows his own vegetables, smokes his own meat etc. He was down in Windsor a few weeks ago. He made us all a delicious meal of prime rib...mmmmm
He is only open in the nicer weather. I'm not sure what he does with the rest of his year? I know he has a lot of fun there though...says he'll never move back here.
