Yes, they look better during the winter. They like the rains and cooler weather. I have many in the front yard...and they wilt constantly in summer and need lots of water virtually every day.

Exactly the same with mine. Still, at least, they keep on keeping on.

Yes, they're very tough! It's widely used as a filler plant here in San Diego.

Yours is looking fabulous. Mine, on the other hand, is not looking its best. Hopefully a good wet season will bring it back.
